Stopping Trumpism is an existential challenge for American democracy, but Dems are fractured and not at the top of their game, Biden appears weak to many Dems, and there are strong headwinds (inflation, war, general anxiety, anger, racism, etc.) And Trump is a master at stirring up his supporters and giving them someone to hate.
So that's why I've revived this little newsletter, and starting to "join the conversation" at some high volume Substacks (Robert Reich, for now) - adding my small voice because the whole reason to start this thing a year ago was because I was fearful and felt the need to proclaim a WARNING, and now I'm even more fearful so I'll be pumping out warnings as often as possible.
My wife thinks Arnold Schwarzenegger could wipe out Trump, but Arnie wasn't born in USA so I don't think he can run. But maybe we need another Arnold?
Sadly, we have discovered that millions of our fellow Americans don't care about democracy all that much, and they also like his meanness. It's incredibly disheartening.
